 Saturday, May 9, at 6:00pm as we once again take it gloriously OLD SCHOOL!

We’re talking flip cup showdowns, beer pong battles, cornhole glory, and booze-optional Jenga that gets riskier as the night goes on—all powered by live music featuring band members of the ALO and Tea Leaf Green, playing an unapologetically loud 90s/2000s set. Throw on your college tee, high school jersey, or that vintage windbreaker you swore you’d never wear again and head to the Luskey (P’ 4th, 7th, '25) residence. There will be taco truck magic. There will be icy drinks. There will be bold claims made and loudly defended. And yes—the flip cup trophy is back. The reigning champs are feeling confident. Possibly too confident. This is your moment to humble them. Adults only. Babysitters locked in. Hydrate accordingly. Year three means traditions, trash talk, and things absolutely going down (and we’re not just talking about the ice luge).

Whether you're a seasoned pro or a rookie to the game, there's a seat at the table for everyone. Light bites, beer, and refreshments will be provided to keep you fueled, energized, and focused as you strategize your victory. It’s sure to be a fun night of laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition. Ante up and reserve your seat at the table! 80% of the proceeds support the school and 20% go to the winner of the tournament.

An intimate, guided, hands-on culinary experience made for food lovers, couples, friend groups, and anyone who appreciates bold flavors and great company. This isn’t just dinner… It's a deliciously interactive party.

You will rotate through a hands-on taco build featuring:

  • One seasonal vegetarian taco
  • One savory meat option
  • A fresh toppings bar with house-made salsas and garnishes

Then we will dive into a cocktail crafting session of two signature margaritas:

  • A perfectly balanced tequila margarita
  • A smoky mezcal margarita

SIGN UP PARTY FAQ

Whether you host a party or just sign up to attend one, you are sure to have a fabulous time mixing and mingling with other Seven Hills families. Below are frequently asked questions about sign up parties and we’ve included a list of party ideas. 

Q. What is an Auction Sign Up Party? A Sign Up Party is an event you host or co-host with your friends for SHS as part of the auction fundraiser. Guests sign up at the auction by buying a slot to attend your party. The cost to participate varies based on the party. 100% of the funds raised go to the auction.

Q. What kind of party can I host? Anything you, your friends, or your family likes to do! See the “Sign Up Party Ideas” list below. 

Q. Who pays for the Sign Up Party? The party host (you). Your efforts to organize and host the party are your donation to SHS. Consider co-hosting a party with one or more individuals to share labor and offset costs. Many parties can be done with very little expense.

Q. How many guests should attend my party? The number of guests depends on what you are going to do and how much space you have. Use this information to determine the maximum number of sign up/buy-in guest slots available for the party you are hosting.

Q. How much do I charge for each party guest slot? Consider what you are offering at the party and set the cost appropriately. All guest slots should be a minimum of $40 and up. If you need some guidance, reach out to Family Engagement Manager, Riki Gibson and she can help you price out your party. 

Q. When do I throw my party? You can host parties all year long, even in the summer! They can be indoor, outdoor, at night, in the morning. However, once a date is set it cannot be changed. All parties should be held in the 2024 calendar year.

Q. Do the people coming to the party need to bring anything? Usually, everything is included. However, if there is anything you will not supply, we can put a "prerequisite" on the party. For example, if you plan a day of boating, you can say a life vest is a prerequisite (bring your own life vest). If you are hosting a hiking trip, you can give guidance on what people should wear and bring.

Q. Is the Auction Sign Up Party tax-deductible? Yes, it is, up to the fullest extent allowed by the Internal Revenue Service and based on what you have contributed. For more advice, please consult a tax professional.

Q. How do I sign up to host a party? - As soon as you have an idea, be sure to reach out to Family Engagement Manager, Riki Gibson to finalize your theme for your party. We want to make sure no one else has the same party idea or date.
